The Mainstream CO2 Sensor C500 is designed specifically for mainstream measurements using sophisticated infrared absorption spectroscopy to make EtCO2 monitoring simple and accurate, allowing for flexibility to monitor all patient (Adult/paediatric and infant ) in all environments.

 

With mainstream, measurements are taken directly at the patients' airway, so response is faster and there is less chance of erroneous, artifact data. The analyzer portion of the sensor cannot be contaminated with patient secretions, and there are no disposable components to C500. And the maintenance requirements and overall cost-of-ownership are minimized. Our exclusive family of airway adapters are easy to use and durable enough even for long-term intubated patients.

Calibration

No routine user calibration required. An airway adapter zero is required when insert an airway adapter.

Safety lock-outs:

• System does not allow adapter zero if there is CO2 gas in the airway adapter.

Method: Peak of the expired CO2 waveform
